Chapter 6 and Chapter 11

Chapter 6:
If I had to teach in a classroom, I would prefer to teach in a classroom with more technology. I would rather teach in a classroom with technology because as a teacher, you have so much more to offer students. If you were teaching in a classroom with less digital technology, students would not be open to as many opportunities while learning. An example of how digital technology can be used in a classroom is that students can study for a quiz using a flashcard application on an     I-Pad.  It is easier and a lot more efficient than paper flashcards. Also lap taps are very useful in the classroom. Children can work on projects and type papers when using laptops. Technology is extremely useful in the classroom. As a teacher you want to provide the best and most useful resources for your students.

Chapter 11:
Audio technology and visual technology are also important to use in the classroom.  Audio technology would be perfect for students who are auditory learners.  Teachers used to play auto tapes to have children listen to them. If laptops are used in the classroom headphones can be provided for children. They were able to listen to stories and listen to someone repeat words. There are numerous options for visual learners as well. Televisions are a good use in the classroom for watching educational movies and projects that have been video taped. A smart board is a new technology that has recently become very popular in classrooms.  Teachers can pull up anything on them, including the Internet. They are very useful.  Overall, technology is great thing to provide in a classroom.

All About Me

Hey I'm Emily North I am freshmen at Bowling Green State University. I am currently undecided right now not sure exactly what I want to go in. I am thinking about being a first grade teacher and also I m thinking about being in fashion merchandising. I am not too sure exactly which one I am learning more towards. It is a hard descion because it is what you are going to be doing for the rest of your life. I love hanging out with friends and meeting new people. I live in Conklin Hall with my roommate Lauren Fawcett.  I am from New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Dublin, Ohio at the end of 7th grade. So far Ohio has been nice but I love Louisiana and hopefully one day I will be able to move back.
